You know when you are so far behind on something and it gets totally overwhelming to the point that you don't even know where to start? That's where I'm at with this blog. So today I decided I just need to start, anywhere!
So here it is...
In November we went to California with my whole family. It was unbelievably fun! We left Wednesday night after everyone got off work and packed. It was supposed to be at about six, but we ended up leaving around eight. Which worked out perfectly cause I just put my kids to bed in their car seats and they slept the whole way! We rolled into town a little after two. We were all sharing the same place. because it was like 70 bucks for two nights, and we're cheap like that. Yes, all eighteen of us in a two bedroom, one bath hotel. It had a kitchen and a pretty big family room. I got a bed, so I was happy. We started out the weekend with a trip to the L.A. fashion district, or the Alley's, or whatever they are called, it was amazing, so many great deals. We had a stroller for the kids, but they love riding on Daddy's shoulders. Talia was able to pick out one thing, and she picked this adorable little beanie and glove set with Princesses on it of course.
The next day it was off to Disneyland!! We had all done the "give a day, get a day" program so our tickets were free, except for Talia, but her ticket was worth every penny, she was so excited!
Scopin' out the rides for the day.
Talia loves the Disney princesses, but her true obsession is Minie Mouse. Here she is meeting her for the first time, a little apprehensive, but still so excited.
Posin' it up in Minie's house
We spent the whole day laughing at this kid.
Meeting Mickey for the first time
Grandma Shelle and Bompa Red bought little autograph books for the girls to get the princesses autographs.
Loving Belle...
All the boys... this was for my brother Preston who wasn't there, he loves Belle.
Ladies man
Of course Ariel was the coolest cause she has the same color hair as our kiddies.
Craig spent most of the day chasing after this little guy. Brogan thought it was so funny!
Luckily we had all the uncles there to help keep him entertained.
Cutest little cousins!
Loving the teacups...
Not loving the teacups!
We were there on a very busy day, but we still got to do all the rides with hardly any waiting in line, which was so nice. Gotta love the fast pass system! We played hard all day, so at about nine, my kids were done.
I loved that all the Christmas decor was up, it was so festive.
The next day we headed to OC swap meet. Lots of fun shopping and yummy churros.
Then it was off to the beach. These girls are crazy, it was warm on the sand but the water was freezing! Talia had only been to the beach once before when she was a baby, so she thought it was the greatest thing ever!
Brogan didn't like the water so much, but he loved flying the kite. This is my favorite pic from the whole trip. He loves his daddy so much, and always wants to be doing whatever daddy's doing.
Family photo... I realize that you can't see us, but it was the best one, so I'll take it!
All the girls...
I'm still laughing at this picture, he had an entire beach full of sand and he chose to play right where we were posing. We kept asking him to move, and he just looked at us like "why?' Love my little B-man.
Such a fun trip! Can't wait to do it again!
