I am returning to blogging today after a bit of a hiatus, but I couldn't go without sending a birthday shout out to my very amazing and wonderful husband! Happy Birthday babe!
And when I say amazing, I mean a-maz-ing! Craig is such a hard worker, he stays busy working 80-90 hours a week, but still manages to find time to serve others as the EQP in our ward and spend time with his family. So, Happy birthday to Craig, hope you have a good day, (even though your working!)

February 2009

More catch up...

Every little girl needs one of these....
I had a bunch of tool left over from Valentine's crafts, so I made this for Tali, I may have gotten a little out of control on the size, but she loves it!

Brogan... 7 months. Givin' a little lovin' to his new cousin Porter

Valentine's Day was kinda a bummer this year, I was doing a little of this...

...while Craig stayed home and watched the kids. I did come home to a clean house (which is the best gift ever!) and some pretty flowers.

Finally got my wisdom teeth out, they had been bothering me for years. when the Dr. asked me if I was nervous, I said "no, I 'm excited, I don't have to do anything but lay in bed for two days knocked out on pain meds!" It was a nice break!
My brother Preston took this right after my surgery, I was a little out of it!( I made it small for a reason, don't look close, it's a little gross!)
Then, two weeks after that I ran the Ragnar Relay. It was probably one of the funnest things I have ever done! Here's how it works... you get a team together of twelve people, each person runs three legs of the relay. We ran from Prescott to Mesa, just over 200 miles. 6 ladies from our team all piled into my car and headed out for a two day no sleeping, junk food eating, running party!
Here's our car... My mom, me, Brittney, Stephanie, Hailey, my sis. Kylie.
This is before the sugar kicked in...
This is after...
The day started out a little rough, we kinda got lost on our way to our check point just outside of Prescott, after stopping to ask for directions and getting my dad on the phone (he has a map of AZ in his head) we miraculously found the road we were supposed to be on. We had about a half an hour before we needed to be at the checkpoint and we were on the windiest road I have ever been on. Luckily, I was driving :) My tires were literally squealing as I rounded each corner. Most of us were laughing, but a couple of the girls wer hanging there heads out the windows cause there was no time to stop for pucking! We made it to the check point just in time, I threw the car in park, jumped out, some one handed me a number, I grabbed my ipod, and I was hopping on one foot trying to tie my shoe and get to the "shoot" before my team member got there. I made it, she handed me the baton, and I took off, the wrong way, but I was quickly corrected. My first run was just over five miles, and supposed to be my easiest, but there was no time for a poddy break before I took off so it ended up being the longest run of my life! One of my favorite things of the whole experience, was running in the middle of the night in the middle of no where. My second leg was an 8 mile run that I started at about 2 am. It was a little scary, but very exhilarating!

Kylie workin' it out on her first leg...

This pic is a little out of place, but Craig came with the kid's and surprised me in Fountain Hills just before I ran my last leg. He is so supportive and I don't think I would have made it with out him, he drove beside me most of the run cheering me on. It was a pretty tough run, they don't call it Fountain HILLS for nothin'!!

We met my dad in the middle of the night for some much needed chiro care! Thanks dad!

Here is our car just before we all started our final leg

Leslie handing off the baton to me

Kylie givin' my mom a little boost on her last leg
Waiting on the corner to cheer on our last runner, who totally killed her run and past up like five guys, go Hailey!!

Our lovely car decor

My mom, Kylie and me at the finish line. Nice metals right, that's what we thought until we realized the top was a beer opener! Lol

All the girls at the finish line... I had a great time, who's in for next year?

One last shot of our runnin' mobile before I went through the car wash.

Sorry, I'm trying to play catch up...
January 2009
January started off with Craig sayin' a little "I told you so."

We had a debate about weather or not we should get a trampoline for Tali for Christmas. I was all for it since I grew up jumping on the tramp every day, (and secretly I really wanted the tramp for myself.) Craig wasn't goin' for it, too dangerous, and not worth the money. I laughed when he said it was dangerous. Well, not two weeks later we were at a friends house and Tali twisted her ankle on the tramp. After two days of not walking on it (she crawled everywhere she went, it was hilarious) I decided to take her to my dad's office to get an x-ray. Turns out she was fine, but you better believe Craig rubbed it in my face. I told him if she had a tramp to practice on she could hold her own a little better when she's jumping with other kids!!

All wrapped up...

She is so proud of her "foot picture"

We love our Bompi Red!

Brogan started crawling in January, 6 months old.

We also headed up to the cabin for a weekend in the snow.

Cutest litlle snow bunny!

I couldn't stop laughing, she seriously was the kid from "Christmas Story"

The snow wasn't quite as fun as she anticipated

That's better!

Brogan chillin' inside with his grandpa. Brogan has a stricking resemblance to my dad, so we call them Big Russ, and Little Russ

All tuckered out from playing all day

We also celebrated Talia's 2nd Birthday. We had cake and Ice cream and she opened a present from her Grandma Shelle since mom and dad hadn't gotten her anything yet, whoops:)

More random pictures from January...

I told her to pretend she was sleeping, she closed her eyes for two seconds then busted up laughing cause she thought she was so funny!

Tali's Day...

So, I know it has been quite some time, but I'm ready to get going again.
I have been a super boring mom lately, working all the time and never making time for fun stuff with the kids, so on Wednesday I told tali that tomorrow we would go do something fun. Well, wouldn't you know it, Wednesday night Brogan got sick ,and he was really sick on Thursday, so we stayed home instead, doing fun stuff.
First, she got to pick out her own outfit and do her hair... lovely!
Then we made a "story box" (she loves Pinky Dinky Doo) and I had the perfect size box. "Cheese"
Going crazy with the ink pad

"serious business"

Then it was time to make some cookies...

Adding ingredients...

Then I turn my back for one second, and we got a little crazy with the salt...

Yea, we had to start all over! :)

Licking...

Waiting...

Enjoying!!!
The end

October 2008
I know this is random, but I just found it in my drafts, not sure why Inever posted it.:)

Brogan got his first girlfriend

But Talia is still his true love

Talia loved being Tinkerbell when her daddy was Peter Pan...

We did a trial run a few days before Halloween cause I couldn't wait to see her in the costume , and this is was happen...

A lot of tears and ripping it off! Yes, we had to bribe her with candy to put it on for Halloween.

The whole family: I was Wendy, and Brogan was Captain Hook

The annual pumpkin carving contest... Craig was so proud of his pumkin!

I didn't get too many pictures halloween night, but I did manage to get this one. That is my dad, Big Bad Biker Russ.

Ashamed...

I have been very ashamed of my blog lately. As some of you may have noticed, I haven't posted in awhile, no excuses, I just haven't. I am going to try to get back on track now (hopefully:)

We will start with this...

A conversation with my (almost) two year old...
Tali: comes to me and says:"Heidi, I wama map."
Me: "A map? what do you need a map for?"
Tali: "no, a map"
Me: "oh, you want a nap?"
Tali:"yep"

Then she proceeds to walk herself to her room and wait for me to lift her in her bed. She is such a good girl, sometimes I think we should change roles, she would be a much better mom than me! Love that girl! And just for good measure... a picture of Brogan. Can you believe how big he is getting! 5 months now.

A little update on the kiddos.....

Brogan:

He had his two month well check yesterday, here are his stats...
13lbs, 50th% - 24 1/2 inches, 75th % - 16 inch head 50th%

Brogan is our perfect little boy! He is such a good baby, and an amazing sleeper. He spoils me. His favorite thing to do right now is talk, he will talk to you as long as you want. He loves to smile, and will smile for anyone. I think the picture sums up his personality pretty well, laid back and goofy. Yesterday he laughed for the first time, I am always tickling him, but I was so surprised when I tickled his neck, and out came a laugh, so cute!

He loves toys and will sit in his baby bouncer for hours playing with his toys. The kid is always hungry, I was very surprised when I found out he only weighs thirteen lbs, cause that kid can eat!! His favorite thing to eat right now are his hands, he is currently working on getting the entire fist in his mouth, then he will move on to the next step, two fists :)

Talia:

I can't believe how big this girl is getting, well not so much big, but a little taller. She is still our little peanut. It has been great for our pocketbook, she can still wear some of her 9 month clothes ( she's 20 months now!)

She is such a happy little girl and does a good job of keeping herself entertained. She is very creative, and just about anything becomes a toy, (that is not always good! :) She is starting to talk so much, here are a few of her favorite words...

Dess, Dess!! She says this first thing in the morning, every morning, when I get her out of her bed, as she is running towards her dresser to pick out an outfit. "Dressed, Dressed"

Sweesh... She says this all day as she is trying on many of these, mommy's, daddy's, hers or her brothers, it doesn't matter, she loves them. "Shoes"

Swish...She says this, more like screams this pointing to the pantry door. "Fish, gold fish"

Gooooo.... she says this any time anything interesting happens. We didn't teach it to her, she just kinda picked it up. "Cool"

Wi-wi... not what you think. She says this when we are over at grandmas house. She will usually drag someone into the laundry room and point to the top of the dryer (where I keep her swimsuit at grandmas.) "Swimming"

Bees.... I know this is an actual word but she doesn't mean the little things flying around that sting. She says this every time someone sneezes. "bless you"

Whoa.... this she says when she really means whoa. It's mostly said when we are in the truck, and daddy is driving. "Whoa!!"

Ee-ee... this she says when she is hungry, or when she sees someone else "eating."

Baf... this is her favorite time of the day, and any time she hears mention of it she immediately starts trying to rip her clothes off. "Bath"

Another fun thing she does... when you ask her where her nose is, she doesn't touch it, she squinches it. If you ask her where her eyes are, she blinks, for her teeth, she bites down, tongue.. she sticks it out, the only thing she points to are her ears cause she hasn't figured out how to move them. She definitely keeps us laughing!
