February 2009

More catch up...

Every little girl needs one of these....
I had a bunch of tool left over from Valentine's crafts, so I made this for Tali, I may have gotten a little out of control on the size, but she loves it!

Brogan... 7 months. Givin' a little lovin' to his new cousin Porter

Valentine's Day was kinda a bummer this year, I was doing a little of this...

...while Craig stayed home and watched the kids. I did come home to a clean house (which is the best gift ever!) and some pretty flowers.

Finally got my wisdom teeth out, they had been bothering me for years. when the Dr. asked me if I was nervous, I said "no, I 'm excited, I don't have to do anything but lay in bed for two days knocked out on pain meds!" It was a nice break!
My brother Preston took this right after my surgery, I was a little out of it!( I made it small for a reason, don't look close, it's a little gross!)
Then, two weeks after that I ran the Ragnar Relay. It was probably one of the funnest things I have ever done! Here's how it works... you get a team together of twelve people, each person runs three legs of the relay. We ran from Prescott to Mesa, just over 200 miles. 6 ladies from our team all piled into my car and headed out for a two day no sleeping, junk food eating, running party!
Here's our car... My mom, me, Brittney, Stephanie, Hailey, my sis. Kylie.
This is before the sugar kicked in...
This is after...
The day started out a little rough, we kinda got lost on our way to our check point just outside of Prescott, after stopping to ask for directions and getting my dad on the phone (he has a map of AZ in his head) we miraculously found the road we were supposed to be on. We had about a half an hour before we needed to be at the checkpoint and we were on the windiest road I have ever been on. Luckily, I was driving :) My tires were literally squealing as I rounded each corner. Most of us were laughing, but a couple of the girls wer hanging there heads out the windows cause there was no time to stop for pucking! We made it to the check point just in time, I threw the car in park, jumped out, some one handed me a number, I grabbed my ipod, and I was hopping on one foot trying to tie my shoe and get to the "shoot" before my team member got there. I made it, she handed me the baton, and I took off, the wrong way, but I was quickly corrected. My first run was just over five miles, and supposed to be my easiest, but there was no time for a poddy break before I took off so it ended up being the longest run of my life! One of my favorite things of the whole experience, was running in the middle of the night in the middle of no where. My second leg was an 8 mile run that I started at about 2 am. It was a little scary, but very exhilarating!

Kylie workin' it out on her first leg...

This pic is a little out of place, but Craig came with the kid's and surprised me in Fountain Hills just before I ran my last leg. He is so supportive and I don't think I would have made it with out him, he drove beside me most of the run cheering me on. It was a pretty tough run, they don't call it Fountain HILLS for nothin'!!

We met my dad in the middle of the night for some much needed chiro care! Thanks dad!

Here is our car just before we all started our final leg

Leslie handing off the baton to me

Kylie givin' my mom a little boost on her last leg
Waiting on the corner to cheer on our last runner, who totally killed her run and past up like five guys, go Hailey!!

Our lovely car decor

My mom, Kylie and me at the finish line. Nice metals right, that's what we thought until we realized the top was a beer opener! Lol

All the girls at the finish line... I had a great time, who's in for next year?

One last shot of our runnin' mobile before I went through the car wash.
